POET

About

Kavi Thornwood’s life was small, safe, and predictable – until it wasn’t.

In the world of POET, magic isn't a gift - it’s a physical manifestation of the human condition. For Kavi, words have always been a sanctuary, but when a seer’s vision triggers a power he cannot control, his metaphors begin to bleed into reality. To protect the people he loves, he must navigate a landscape where history is alive, and the ghosts of his past are more than just memories.

Through rigorous training and a perilous trek across the continent, he must transform from a displaced teenager into the world's only source of lasting hope, if he can work out what hope actually is. His identity may be the fulfillment of a 472-year-old saga, but his failure could be the end of everything.

POET combines familiar Fantasy tropes, and a unique system of magic, set against the backdrop of an engaging landscape rich in detail and history. There are gothic horror elements, and POET also highlights strong female characters, who are independent, fierce, and do not need the validation of men to be effective.

"One of the most original Fantasy Epics of the last few years."
