I have been on a writing frenzy lately, and have completed about 1/4 of SUNSAGE. Unedited and rough, of course, but a milestone nonetheless.

SUNSAGE is a Prehistoric Fiction / Historical Fiction novel, and will be followed by MOONSAGE and STARSAGE.
A story 50,000 years in the making, it is a sweeping, visceral tale of mythic realism. Think Kim Stanley Robinson’s Shaman combined with the epic melancholy of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and the anthropological grit of The Inheritors. 

Fifty thousand years ago, survival meant everything: the absolute dark, a crackling fire, and the close bond of kin against the tundra's chill. We shared the earth with Neanderthals and Denisovans, bound by raw terror and pigment on limestone.

Today, we live in climate-controlled towers, bathed in the glare of glowing glass, connected to billions yet profoundly alone. Strip away the steel and fiber optics, and our nervous system remains identical. The pulse that stalked mammoths now spikes over missed notifications. We traded physical predators for invisible anxieties - leaving our wild, untamed humanity behind in the past.

This isn't just a story about how far we’ve traveled - it’s a reckoning with what we left behind in the dark. 

I expect to have SUNSAGE finished sometime in Q1 2027. MOONSAGE will be the end of 2027. STARSAGE is too early to forecast.
