In each of the categories above, there is a small army of people ready to take your hard-earned money for the "secret" to success. If you fail, you mustn't have done it right or you didn't send enough money.

Throughout human history scams all look different but they are fundamentally the same, whether someone is selling you a piece of the original Cross, a piece of the Berlin Wall, a digital marketing solution or an AI bot to make your life better and easier. In each case someone is trying to convince you that they are "honest brokers" even though your personal history and human history write large tells us the opposite is true.

Writing, on the other hand, is one of the most honest transactions there is. A writer formulates and puts down ideas, a reader reads them, and if the reader likes what he or she sees, he or she can buy a book if the price is amenable to them. That's it. No subscriptions, no monthly billing, no "premium package" for an extra cost - you only pay if you think the author's efforts are worth the time and the cash.
